Since the Manta is the largest Ray in the sea, SeaWorld wants the promotion to fall nothing short of being the largest promotion that SeaWorld has seen to launch this mega attraction. SeaWorld is looking for Quality. |
| The Resource | Attract Families to SeaWorld in May Cox Radio Miami and Orlando had a brainstorm Session with the client. The marketing statement used for the brainstorm was In what ways might we get families to go to Sea World in May to experience Manta? In this meeting the client explained that she would like to see a state wide promotion using the Cox Radio stations in Florida. |
| The Idea | 3 Ideas: Education, Mom, Family Idea: After reading through the ideas - 3 major Themes were identified: FAMILY REUNION - for out of state family, EDUCATION/SCHOOLS - for classes/students/parents, THEME PARK FAMILY/MOM - for families or moms. Orlando, Tampa & Miami each took one of the themes and developed their theme to be executed on all COX RADIO FLORIDA stations. |
| The Results | Customer-Focused Approach Budget constraints prevented the implementation of the Cox Radio statewide promotion. However Cox Radio Miami still delivered results with morning show personalities broadcasting live from SeaWorld, Orlando during the grand opening day. During the live broadcast each personality was strapped with a mobile microphone and video tapped during the Manta ride. |
