THE 2ND BI-ANNUAL URBAN THEATRE & ENTERTAINMENT FESTIVAL AND AWARDS

"Educating Using the Arts"

Miami-Dade County, FL (BlackNews.com) - The 2nd Bi-Annual Urban Theatre & Entertainment Festival/Awards (UTEF) will kick-off a Celebrity Gala hosted by Singer and Actresses Melba Moore and JoMarie Payton (Alumnus of Miami Carol City Senior High School). Invited celebrities guests include: Actor(tresses) of Television and Movies Malik Yoba, CoCo Brown, Ella Joyce, Jackee' Harry, Vincent Cook, Woodie King and Ted Lange. Industry Legends Marvin Webster of Marvelous Entertainment and Curtis King, Executive Director of TBAAL (The Black Academy of Arts and Letters, Inc.). We will honor gifted Playwrights Gary Guidry and Jecaryous Johnson of I'm Ready Productions and many more.

This exciting 4-day event will be held July 29-August 2, 2008, with (20) BIG all star theatrical performances; a marketplace for vendors, workshops, dance competition and poetry experience covering South Florida (Dade, Broward and West Palm Beach county). "Simply the best", in entertainment and culturally enriching for the entire family. The total cost is $250.00. Lodging and travel offered in a complete VACATION package for art patrons upon request.
